Thing Fifteen

Ok, I admit that the idea of a virtual world doesn't do a whole lot for me. Godspeed to those who like it - it's just not my thing.

I wonder about library involvement in Second Life. To me, Second Life is an example of another 2.0 thing that we are suppose to get all excited about, but I am not sure I know why. To show users of Second Life how cool libraries are? Has anyone asked them if they care? I know this is uber-cynical but I don't think it is unreasonable to ask "what's in it for us" when it comes to some of these things.
